WHAT IS FRAXEL LASER?
Fraxel Re:store 1550 laser treatment resurfaces your skin by stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin cells from the inside out. HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE? IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
One Fraxel laser treatment involves the following steps: first your skin is cleansed, second a topical anesthetic ointment is applied to the chosen area about 60 minutes prior to the treatment, third the Fraxel treatment takes about 20 to 25 minutes for a whole face session. There is no downtime and most patients describe the treatment as a sensation of heat. To minimize discomfort, we’ll apply a topical anesthesia and use cold air during the treatment.

WHAT RESULTS MAY BE EXPECTED? HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED TO SEE RESULTS? HOW LONG DO THE  RESULTS LAST?
Based on clinical studies, the most commonly effective regimen is 3 to 5 sessions spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. Depending on your skin’s condition and schedule, we may choose to space treatment sessions further apart. Results are immediate, with optimal improvement usually visible in 2 to 3 months. A skincare protocol will be recommended to maintain your skin’s improvements.
